ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
Loupely LLC · Loupely Lens
Effective Date: April 1, 2026 | Last Updated: June 12, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines the conduct Loupely LLC requires of all users of Loupely Lens, including the Chrome extension, the account system at loupelylens.com, and the associated infrastructure (collectively, the “Services”). This AUP is incorporated by reference into the Loupely Lens Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
The Services exist to give website owners and the people who manage sites on their behalf the diagnostic visibility they need to identify and resolve visual problems. That purpose shapes every rule below. Use that advances it is permitted. Use that undermines it, or imposes costs on Loupely or other users without corresponding benefit, is not.
1. Authorized Use
You may use the Services to:
- diagnose visual problems on websites you own;
- diagnose visual problems on websites you manage on behalf of their owners as part of your professional services, where you are authorized to do so;
- assemble structured capture files for delivery to developers or other technical professionals assisting you; and
- generate and act on the diagnoses and suggested overrides the Services produce for sites you are authorized to work on.
Authorization to run diagnostic captures on a site means you own it, you have been engaged by the owner to manage or troubleshoot it, or you otherwise have explicit permission from the site owner. Running captures on sites you do not own and are not authorized to access violates this AUP regardless of whether it causes visible harm.
2. Prohibited Conduct
2.1 Unauthorized Site Access
You may not use the Services to capture, diagnose, or analyze any website you do not own and are not authorized to access. This applies regardless of whether the site is publicly accessible.
2.2 Automated or Bulk Capture
You may not use the Services in any automated, scripted, or programmatic manner that bypasses normal user interaction. This includes using scripts, bots, or headless browsers to trigger captures without a human initiating each one, and building tools or services that call Loupely’s backend endpoints directly rather than through the intended interfaces.
2.3 Trial and Subscription Abuse
You may not:
- create multiple accounts to obtain additional free trials or other benefits intended for a single user;
- share account credentials to split the cost of a plan across users who would otherwise need separate accounts; or
- attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent, or manipulate the free-trial logic, subscription gating, or account verification.
2.4 Resale and Unauthorized Distribution
You may not resell, sublicense, or provide stand-alone access to the Services to third parties. You may use Loupely Lens to diagnose client sites you manage, but you may not offer Loupely Lens diagnostic access as a stand-alone deliverable or billable product to clients.
2.5 Security Research and Probing
You may not use the Services to probe, scan, or test the security of Loupely’s infrastructure, backend systems, or API endpoints. If you discover a security vulnerability, report it through the process at loupelylens.com/security rather than exploiting or further investigating it.
2.6 Harmful, Illegal, or Abusive Use
You may not use the Services in connection with any activity that violates applicable law or regulation, infringes the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party, transmits malware or destructive code, or assists any other person in conduct prohibited by this AUP.
2.7 Interference with the Services
You may not take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionate load on Loupely’s infrastructure, interferes with or disrupts the integrity or performance of the Services, or attempts to access the Services through means other than the interfaces we provide.
3. Consequences of Violation
Loupely may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice where immediate action is required, suspend or terminate your account, disable access to any capability associated with a violation, report the conduct to law enforcement or other appropriate authorities, or pursue any available legal remedy.
Where a violation is minor and appears inadvertent, we will generally try to notify you and give you an opportunity to correct the behavior before taking account action. We make no commitment to provide such notice where the violation is serious, involves unauthorized access to third-party sites, or involves deliberate circumvention of platform controls.
4. Reporting Violations
If you believe someone is using the Services in violation of this AUP, contact us at support@loupelylens.com with as much specific information as possible. We investigate all credible reports.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version at loupelylens.com and update the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated by email to the address on your account. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of a revised AUP constitutes acceptance of the changes.
